When the top 20 percent of most-talented candidates are selected for a role, a business often realizes a 30 percent increase in profitability, a 20 percent increase in sales and a 10 percent increase in productivity, according to Gallup.
The numbers prove that talent is everything. However, in this job market, competition to attract and secure candidates is fierce. Employers must think more strategically about talent acquisition to build a competitive advantage and hire the right workforce to have a positive impact on their organization.
How can they do that? Take it from those who have been there and done it. iCIMS and its subsidiary, TextRecruit, along with its customers, will share tools, resources, innovations and solutions needed to bolster recruitment efforts and increase business value at the SHRM Talent Conference 2019, taking place from April 8 to 10 at the at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.
Jared Bazzell, manager of talent acquisition at CDW, a Fortune 200 technology solutions provider, will join Erik Kostelnik, founder and CEO of TextRecruit to share best practices in leveraging text messaging to recruit and communicate with candidates. Attendees will learn how CDW rolled out text recruiting globally to fill roles quicker and more efficiently, at a time when employers are feeling the pain of low unemployment rates, and speed is of the essence. Bazzell will also share how the use of automated text reminders and correspondences saved CDW more than 400 hours of recruiter productivity in one year, and how they have achieved an open rate five times higher with texting, when compared to email open rates. The session, titled “CDW Increased Speed to Hire with Text Recruiting. Are You Equipped to Text Candidates?,” will take place on Tuesday April 9 at 10 a.m. in Bayou AB.
Tim Kenyon, director of recruiting at NASCAR, will join Adam Feigenbaum, chief customer officer at iCIMS, to share how employers can get and stay ahead of the competition with a winning candidate experience and a high-touch talent-acquisition strategy. With a passionate fanbase that bleeds into its talent pipeline, NASCAR receives 300-500 applications per job posting; and, the recruitment team must effectively manage this pipeline to protect its brand image and ensure recruitment success. Learn how in the session, titled “The NASCAR Experience: Hiring in the Fast Lane,” which will take place on April 9 at 4:30p.m. in Delta C.
In addition, representatives from iCIMS will be stationed at booth 1019 and TextRecruit will be at booth 819, showcasing the talent acquisition software provider’s solutions, including its new Job Discovery feature, which improves the job search experience on career sites through machine-learning technology from Google’s Cloud Talent Solution.
