Leading recruitment software provider announces new board member and move to make CEO, Colin Day, chairman of the board
MATAWAN, N.J. [October 21, 2016] – iCIMS, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based talent acquisition solutions, announces the appointment of Daniel Springer to its board of directors. Springer brings his experience serving as an advisor to high-growth technology firms to the iCIMS board.
While Springer has held various executive positions throughout his career, he recently became operating partner at Advent International, one of the largest and most experienced global private equity firms. Prior to his current position, Springer served as CEO of Responsys, the leading provider of enterprise-scale, cloud-based, business-to-consumer marketing software, which was purchased by Oracle in 2014 for $1.6B. He also serves as a board member for several software companies in the marketing space such as YuMe, Heighten, and Persado, as well as not-for-profit organizations including The Urban School and Year Up. Springer holds an advanced bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Occidental College and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
“My experience advising high-growth technology companies certainly aligns with iCIMS’ needs,” said Springer. “The company is in a prime position to become the Salesforce of talent acquisition by providing a centralized hub for all hiring data. iCIMS developed the largest marketplace within talent acquisition with the vision to have other companies build onto its platform through a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model. This is a very progressive offering within the industry and iCIMS has both the scale and proven success to fulfill this vision. I’m happy to leverage my experience and knowledge to help the company continue its impressive growth.”
iCIMS has made other adjustments within the structure of its Board of Directors. iCIMS CEO, Colin Day, has been elected as chairman of the Board of Directors, as George Liou, the Chairman and President of Comrise Technology, has stepped down after serving 17 years in the role. Day will be taking responsibility for the board of directors, ensuring it carries the most effective combination of board members to guide the organization, as well as the proper committees, governance, and controls to navigate the business through its next phase of growth.
“George has left big shoes for me to fill and I truly admire his leadership style and the path he has laid out for us to move forward,” stated Day. “It’s an exciting time at iCIMS as we launched the first phase of our new PaaS framework, UNIFi, which has gained success as the largest marketplace within the talent acquisition industry promoting more than 130 products since its launch this past June. We’re also preparing to move into a new, larger space as the anchor tenant in the re-designed landmark facility, Bell Works, next year. I am honored to lead the company toward continued success.”
