HOLMDEL, N.J. [December 20, 2018] – Building candidate pools, improving candidate experience and using data to know the most effective source of quality candidates are the top new year resolutions for recruiters in 2019, according to a survey of iCIMS clients, a leading provider of cloud-based talent acquisition solutions used by more than 4,000 companies to fill four million jobs a year.
With the lowest unemployment rates in nearly 50 years the survey revealed a shared view expressed by iCIMS clients about daunting challenges in 2019, epitomized by: “our central challenge in ’19 is to find candidates, because by 2020 there will be over a million nurse deficit in the US,” and “there are hundreds of thousands of job postings out there. How will ours stand out?!
“Because recruiters are under enormous pressure to fill a growing number of open positions, employers are rethinking their approach,” said Susan Vitale, chief marketing officer at iCIMS. “By developing talent pools, employers build long-term relationships with potential candidates to entice when needed. This is smart recruiting. Using programmatic advertising and social media to source and create communities of people interested in your brand is precisely how companies are transforming marketing, and it is the future of recruiting.”
