Prior to the acquisition, Jobmagic’s advanced social media tools had powered iCIMS' Social Distribution solution, enabling iCIMS Talent Platform customers to quickly and easily promote job openings on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and over 300 other social media sites.

iCIMS’ award-winning platform was originally conceived in 1999 and has retained a leadership position in the space through continuously strengthening its core product offering while partnering with companies that deliver recruitment advertising solutions such as search engine optimization (SEO) and job board distribution as well as complementary HR technology across functions like background screening and I-9 verifications. The Jobmagic acquisition will strengthen iCIMS’ social media expertise, allowing the company to accelerate development plans for enhanced functionality across its product suite of Connect, Recruit, and Onboard solutions. For iCIMS customers who are already using the company’s Social Distribution product, the merger will promote tighter integration with the graphical user interface (GUI), enhanced reporting features, and new referral tracking capabilities.
The Jobmagic acquisition will also enable iCIMS to market, sell, and support Social Distribution as a standalone product to companies that seek an independent solution for social recruiting without applicant tracking functionality and are looking to dramatically improve candidate reach through automating job distribution and employee referral programs across social networks. “Social media has really paved the way for companies of all sizes to recruit talent more quickly, often at a lower cost per hire,” said Jindrich Liska, Sr. Director, Social Recruit, iCIMS and founder of Jobmagic. “By joining forces, our combined customers get the competitive advantage of a social-infused product roadmap along with a strong foundational technology, while Jobmagic’s existing customer base will benefit from our strengthened corporate infrastructure and extended support organization,” concluded Liska.

Following a $35 million minority investment by Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE) in January 2012, iCIMS has been executing against an aggressive strategic growth plan that includes increased investments in marketing, product development, and acquisitions. The Jobmagic acquisition is the company’s first this year. As part of its expansion plans, iCIMS is on track to increase full-time staff by almost 30% in 2012 versus 2011. These staff members will be located throughout the United States and abroad and are focused in technology, marketing, and sales.
