Like many innovative organizations in the financial sector, Crowe Horwath understood the inherent value of university recruiting for internship and entry-level positions, but a decentralized, manual based program made it difficult to attract and manage college applicants. "With our old system, there was no trackable history or requisitions," said Jennifer Varga, Firmwide Campus Coordinator. "Everything was very manual and time consuming to the point that recruiters were forced to manually build individual student profiles." Recruiting at more than 80 different colleges and universities across the country, it became increasingly difficult to manage the 1,500 – 2,000 active student resumes submitted on an annual basis. Furthermore, a large part of Crowe Horwath's university recruitment program involved on campus recruiting events. The existing manual processes and lotus notes database made it difficult for university recruiters to promote events, inform students of upcoming events in their area and track event expenses.
Crowe Horwath wanted a talent acquisition solution that was robust enough to support their experienced hire and university recruitment programs yet configurable enough to handle the distinct needs of these very different recruitment teams. After evaluating several different solutions, Crowe Horwath found exactly what they were looking for in iCIMS. Unlike "out of the box" solutions, iCIMS configured Crowe Horwath's Talent Platform to reflect their distinct recruitment programs. In addition to implementing a unique university career portal, Crowe Horwath implemented a university events portal as well. iCIMS configured this portal to help Crowe Horwath's recruitment team promote, manage and track hundreds of on campus events at schools across the country. "With iCIMS, there is a lot more detail behind our reporting, our team is able to track and report on the exact costs associated with every university recruiting event, as well as identify the individual applicants that come in from the event." said Jennifer.
